I'm Joey “Joey Donuts” Farah, a Falco main from Minnesota. I started playing Melee in January 2016 and went 0-2 at every tournament for my first six months. I made my region's power rankings in 2019, was ranked #1 in Minnesota in 2021, and placed 61st on the SSBMRank Top 100 in 2025.

What I use to improve

Savestates. Most of my recent improvement came from labbing situations in UnclePunch. I've recorded and tested more savestates than I can count, and the packs here are the ones I kept coming back to.

Tech Skill Timer. Falco lives and dies on execution. The timer puts 35 Falco techs on a clock, each with a demo clip, so a practice session has structure instead of drifting. It's free.

Slippi Ranked Stats(opens in a new tab). A desktop app for Windows and macOS that analyzes your Slippi Ranked sets. Point it at your replay folder and get a breakdown of your play — matchups, stages, sessions, rating history — plus a grade for every set across Neutral, Punish, and Defense. It runs locally, and nothing is uploaded.
